What's On Your Card

Every card is a bifold — it prints on a single A4 sheet, double-sided, and folds once to pocket size. Page one is your cover: the emergency numbers that matter in that country (police, ambulance, tourist helplines), your flight and hotel details filled in ready to show anyone who asks, and the one pre-arrival form you must not forget. Page two walks you out of the airport step by step — immigration, baggage, customs, cash, SIM — then lays out every honest way into the city with real prices: the train, the bus, the metered taxi, the ride-hailing app, and which one to pick after midnight. It also covers money: what things cost, where cards fail, and how much cash to carry.

Page three gets you connected and understood: the free airport WiFi name to look for, what a tourist SIM actually costs at the counter, the apps worth installing before you fly, and eight local phrases with the script printed large — so you can point at the words even if your pronunciation gives up. There's a box to show your taxi driver with your destination, and a short, honest beware section: the two or three scams that actually target arrivals in that city, not a generic list of twenty. Each city card takes us a full day of research. We check transport prices against official airport and metro sources, verify attraction tickets and hours, read recent traveller reports for the scams people actually fell for, and convert money at the real exchange rate of the week. Then we print the verification date on the card itself — because honesty about freshness is part of being useful. Prices and rules change, and we say so on every card. If you spot something that has changed since our check, write to us; corrections from travellers make the next card better.
